Children’s Program
Children are an important part of Olympia Friends Meeting.
While the adults are in Meeting for Worship, the Meeting welcomes children of all ages to participate in the Children’s Program. The youngest attenders have childcare provided for them. The Children’s Committee organizes instruction for children ages 5 and up. Children typically spend the first fifteen minutes with the adults in worship. They are then led out of Meeting and to their program. They return to their parents at the end of the worship hour.
Junior Friends/Youth Group
This age group (middle through high school) meets regularly and selects and plans their own activities, under the guidance of an advisor. Activities have included making visits to other faith traditions in the community, fundraising and service projects, and adventurous outings such as skiing to a cabin near Mt. Rainier, rock climbing at a local climbing gym, and rafting trips.
Feel free to call Olympia Friends Meeting, 360-705-2986, for more information about our program for any age group.
